On a national level, the Meta-Leadership Summit for Preparedness is supported by a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which covers programming and administrative costs. Additional programmatic support is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the CDC Foundation.

In lieu of a registration fee for Summit participants, local sponsors cover the Summit’s operational expenses, including meeting space rental, A/V equipment, food and beverage, and meeting materials.

Summit expenses, covered by local sponsors, vary from $40,000 to $60,000, depending on prevailing rates, in-kind contributions and Summit dates. Local sponsorships support meeting space and equipment rental, audiovisual services, food and beverage and meeting materials. There are no designated sponsorship levels; the CDC Foundation Advancement Office works with each sponsor to determine an appropriate level of funding for their organization.

Each Meta-Leadership Summit attracts key local leaders from business, nonprofit and government entitities. Summit sponsors receive prominent visibility and are vital to the success of the program. All sponsors receive the following benefits and recognition:

Sponsorship Guidelines and Terms

• The CDC Foundation Advancement Office works directly with sponsors to coordinate all details of the sponsorship and ensure appropriate recognition and fulfillment.
• To achieve maximum exposure, and to receive full sponsorship benefits, please reserve your sponsorship as quickly as possible. This allows sufficient time to place necessary orders, create signage and to include your logo in the onsite meeting materials and slides. All conference logos are printed in color, and must be provided as a high resolution EPS file in advance. Send logos to Dee Dee Honaman, dhonaman@cdcfoundation.org.
• Please note that while the CDC Foundation will make every attempt to provide full recognition on sponsorships confirmed less than three weeks before a Summit, some benefits may no longer be available due to production deadlines.
• The sponsoring organization agrees to pay the agreed sponsorship fee in full prior to the Summit.
• The CDC Foundation reserves the right to approve all sponsorships.
